Close cooperation within the Group enables us to tailor the entire value chain, from steel production to hot-rolled or cold-drawn tubes, to the latest requirements. With precise, efficient, and safe lightweight construction solutions, we help our customers save material, weight, and thus CO2 in product applications, while also driving sustainable technologies forward. In addition, together with our group's own research institute, we develop suitable solutions for vehicles with alternative drive technologies—for example, steel pipe solutions for rotor shafts and innovative high-pressure storage tanks for hydrogen—making important contributions on the path to more sustainable mobility.

Our goal is to reduce our own emissions as much as possible and thereby also support our customers in reducing their indirect emissions. To this end, we focus on targeted raw material selection, continuous technology scouting, energy-efficient manufacturing methods, and truck transport that is as sustainable as possible using the more climate-friendly fuel HVO. Our steel pipe technologies are durable and fully recyclable. We enable full transparency by providing the carbon footprint for each product. Our seamless drawn tubes with the “CO2 reduced” label according to the Salzgitter Group's “OUR Sustainable Solutions” labeling system are already produced from raw materials that have a 50% lower carbon footprint than conventionally produced steel.

To make the sustainability of our products more transparent, we use the Salzgitter Group's “OUR Sustainable Solutions” labeling system. We are currently able to offer you seamless, drawn precision steel tubes of various grades with the “CO2 reduced” label—thanks to a carbon footprint reduction of around 50% for the raw material used compared to conventionally manufactured raw materials.
