Product development

Above and beyond day-to-day support, we develop innovative solutions in the fields of products, testing and validation in close cooperation with our customers and Salzgitter Mannesmann Forschung, the Group's own research institute. Close cooperation within the Group enables us to align the entire value chain from steel production to size-rolled or cold-drawn tubes to the latest requirements.

In the Automotive division, we coordinate our development activities with the other Salzgitter companies. The suitable framework for this is provided by the Initiative Automotive. Our certificate to IATF 16949 proves that we satisfy all the exacting requirements along the supply chain of the automotive industry.
